Tiny Lot-BIG idea
Postage Stamp Ping Pong Park, located at 48 Central Avenue Albany NY 12206, is a result of a meaningful collaboration with the City of Albany, Albany Parking Authority, New York State Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation, the State of New York Department of Transportation, and other valued partners.
The effort from inception to completion took approximately five years. Thanks to generous private charitable donations—both monetary and in-kind—all equipment is provided for the community to enjoy.
Devoted to serving the youth and broader community through the joy of chess, ping pong, and positive and healthy connection. You can expect to see continued improvements such as improved landscape and plantings in the spring of 2026.
Park Rules and Regulations

No alcohol is permitted.

Amplified music or loudspeakers are not permitted to preserve the peacefulness of the space.

Smoking and vaping are prohibited anywhere within the park in alignment with New York State health policies.

Please respect fellow players and share the tables; if others are waiting, limit playtime to 20 minutes per singles game, so everyone has a chance to enjoy.

After use, please return all equipment to the securely stored mailbox onsite.

Help keep the park clean by disposing of all trash in nearby city-wide litter receptacles.

Pets are not permitted, except for service animals.

At Postage Stamp Ping Pong (PSPP), our mission is to inspire inner-city communities through the games of ping pong and chess.
These are more than games—they’re tools for personal growth, critical thinking, and social connection. In our revitalized urban space, we help individuals build discipline, focus, and confidence that extend far beyond the table or board.
We’re creating a welcoming environment where people of all backgrounds can connect, grow, and thrive—guided by passionate volunteers and community leaders.
